Clubs
If we don't cater for your sport why not set up a new club yourself? In previous years students have been responsible for starting clubs at the beginning of the year and watched them grow from strength to strength. One example of this is the Trampolining club which has expanded year after year.
What do I need to do I hear you ask, well here are four easy steps to get you started:
- Decide on a name for your club, e.g Table Tennis Club
- Draw up some aims and objectives of the club
- Collect the names and NUS numbers of possible members (15 minimum) n.b contact telephone numbers and email addresses would also be useful
- Hand all of the above to the Sports executive
The Sports executive will present the proposal to the Sports Union Committee. If your proposal is accepted you will have a meeting with the Sports executive and Manager to discuss issues such as finance, training venues, coaching and procedures. They will then inform you of what you will need to do before your club is fully operational.
If you are interested in a sport that is not in the A-Z below, please contact the Sports Executive .
